Postgraduate Fair (ME)

To take place on the 18th of September in Hendrix Hall from 1pm until 4pm. Can set up from 10am. Malachy, Sammie, Connor and potentially Tara to man the stall on shifts. Sign up sheets are completed and ready to go. Malachy checking to see if leaflets can be printed. Flynn asked to update socials flyer. Flyer will be printed and left on table for students to view. People manning tables to bring bows for display.

Freshers Fair (ME)

To take place on the 29th September from 10am. Location to be confirmed by YUSU. Will set up a rota of members to man stall. Bows will be brought in for display buy NO arrows for safety reasons. As many bow styles as possible. May potentially have space for a boss. Banner collected from previous president by Malachy. More details to be discussed later on.

Sign ups (SB)

Sign ups will go live just after Freshers Fair. Then memberships can start to be added to Archery GB. Will be very similar to last year in that we will have a continuing students, a tuesday beginners course membership, saturday beginners course membership, tuesday beginners course membership and associate membership for ex student who still wish to shoot with us. For the moment we suspect it will be a £15 cash line fee but this is to be confirmed.

Session times (ME)

Our Regular shoots will recommence on the 2nd of October. They will be in the Sports Hall with our new session times of Tuesday 1-4pm, Thursday 1-4pm and Saturday 11-2pm

Beginner’s course (CW)

We intend to run the Beginner’s Course same as last year, working on 3 weekly sessions. A minimum of 3 coaches will be present at each session. A coach list will be sent to Connor, by Sammie. The Saturday beginner course will run on the 6th, 9th and 20th of October and the Tuesday beginners course will run on the 9th, 16th, and 23rd of October. They will take place in the Sports Hall during the regular session times. A register will be done for each session to ensure people attend the whole beginners course.

Keys (SB)

Sammie has been in touch with the Sport Centre who are getting a key produced for the Sports pavillion specifically for Archery. They now have an up to date list of the committee, as the only people who should be collecting the key. Some keys are still with old committee and will be collected and distributed to their new people.

Committee Elections (ME)

Ideally we still need to elect: Health and Safety Officer, Club Captain and Equipment Officer, This was suggested to be done at the end of the first term.

Socials (FM)

The Cards Against Humanity social is intended to be our welcome social. We intend to hold this on the 20th. Flynn will book a location and arrange a time. Details are then to be passed to Tara who will advertise this on our social medias.

A socials list has been put together for this term. Flynn and Tara will liaise between them to share details and make sure all events are advertised for the best attendance possible.

Equipment (RD & CS)

Boss restacking is likely to take place on the weekend of the 22nd/23rd. Our 8 old bosses will become 5 restacked ones. Which with our 5 new purchased bosses will give us 10 overall. New ratchet straps have been purchased. Adam, last year's equipment officer has refletched a lot of club arrows. A batch is still to be done. Bows should all be checked over. An inventory of our equipment also needs to be carried out. It is agreed that this is a big job and the rest of the committee will pitch in and help out.

Some new equipment on our shopping list at the moment is: 500m rope reel for outdoors, Nocks and Fletching Jigs. These will be purchased depending on funds later this year

Finance (AP)

Budgeting all looking good and we are optimistic for next year. York Archers will contact us in the next few weeks to arrange fees. Archery GB membership costs will be sorted between Alessandro and Sammie after membership sign ups open. Tara has kindly volunteered to contact Autohorn to see what the situation is going forward with their sponsorship.
